AVL is the world's largest privately owned and independent company for the development of powertrain systems with internal combustion engines as well as instrumentation and test systems. AVL is acting in the following scopes of business:
Development of Powertrain Systems: AVL develops and improves all kinds of powertrain systems and is a competent partner to the engine and automotive industry.

Centro Ricerche FIAT SCPA – CRF

CRF was established in 1976 to enable the innovation, research and development needs of the FIAT Group. Today the R&D activities conducted at CRF focus predominantly on improving the safety and reducing the emissions and environmental impact of vehicles for personal mobility and goods transportation. In addition to the main site located near Torino (Orbassano), CRF has five sites in different regions of Italy. FH Joanneum, founded in 1995, is one of Austria's leading Universities of Applied Sciences running educational programs at bachelor and master level in the fields of Engineering, Management and Information-Technology. Gustav Klein

GUSTAV KLEIN was founded 1948 in Schongau. 1969 our subsidiary company was established in Austria (in Inzing, near to Innsbruck). In both factories the company GUSTAV KLEIN has about  260 employees.
GUSTAV KLEIN developed and produced uninterruptible power supplies UPS, for DC-and AC load until 2 MW, as well as frequency converters, rectifiers, inverters, DC-converters, test and simulation systems for batteries and grid as well as high power energy storage systems for grid and island grid regulation.

Università degli Studi di Firenze

The Università degli Studi di Firenze, Dipartimento di Ingegneria Industriale, (UNIFI) is an institution active in the higher education and research sector. The staff consists of 60 people of whom 40 are scientists. UNIFI has a long lasting research activity in the field of surface transports with a specific focus on the automotive and Powered Two Wheeler (PTW) sectors. Research activities carried out in the department comprise NVH, numerical and experimental modeling of dynamic systems, design of safety devices (e.g. semi-active suspensions) - included HMI devices -, virtual testing of PTWs both for crash and for simulation of handling maneuvers, virtual testing of personal protective equipment (included airbag systems), accident analysis, urban mobility and vehicle electrification (e.g. development of specific driving cycles, optimization of charging infrastructure, 1-D and 3_D EV simulation).
